📖 Overview

NexusCAD is the official CAD/MDT platform used by Smokey State Roleplay.

Before using department-specific features, members must complete two steps:

  1. Create a NexusCAD account
  2. Submit a NexusCAD Permission Request
Creating an account does not automatically give you access to Law Enforcement, Fire/EMS, Communications, or other restricted NexusCAD modules.

📝 Step 1 — Create Your NexusCAD Account

Go to the official Smokey State Roleplay NexusCAD:

From the NexusCAD homepage, select:

Create an Account

Complete the registration process using your Smokey State Roleplay information.

👤 Account Information

When creating your account:

  • Use information that identifies you within Smokey State Roleplay.
  • Use an email address you have access to.
  • Create a secure password.
  • Do not create accounts for other members.
  • Do not share your account credentials.
  • Only create one NexusCAD account unless otherwise instructed by IDT.
Your NexusCAD account is considered your personal SSRP CAD/MDT account. Account sharing is prohibited.

🔐 Step 2 — Request NexusCAD Permissions

After creating your NexusCAD account, you must submit a NexusCAD Permission Request.

You must sign in to the Smokey State Roleplay website using Discord before you can submit the permission request form.

🏢 Why Are Permissions Required?

NexusCAD uses a detailed permission system to control which modules and records members can access.

Permissions may be based on your:

  • Department
  • Rank
  • Position
  • Certifications
  • Assignments
  • Administrative responsibilities

This helps ensure members only have access to the parts of NexusCAD required for their role.

🚓 Department Access

Your approved permissions may provide access to different areas of NexusCAD.

Depending on your position, this could include:

📡 Communications

  • Dispatch
  • Active Calls
  • Unit Management
  • Live Map
  • Dispatcher Tools

🚓 Law Enforcement

  • Law MDT
  • Person Lookups
  • Vehicle Lookups
  • BOLOs
  • Warrants
  • Citations
  • Arrest Reports
  • Incident Reports

🚒 Fire & Rescue

  • Fire MDT
  • Apparatus
  • Station Management
  • Incident Command
  • Fire Reporting
  • Station Alerting

🚑 EMS

  • Patient Management
  • Hospital Status
  • Triage
  • Patient Care Reports

👥 Department Administration

Authorized Command Staff may receive additional access to:

  • Department Roster
  • Personnel Management
  • Certifications
  • LOA Management
  • FTO Systems
  • Disciplinary Systems
  • Applications
  • Activity Tracking
Available features depend on your approved department, rank, and NexusCAD permissions.

⏳ Step 3 — Wait for Approval

Submitting the permission request does not provide immediate access.

Your request must be reviewed before department permissions are added to your NexusCAD account.

While your request is pending:

  • Do not submit duplicate requests.
  • Do not create another NexusCAD account.
  • Do not ask another member to share their account.
  • Allow staff time to process your request.

Once approved, your assigned permissions should become available through your NexusCAD account.

❌ Permission Request Denied?

A permission request may be denied if:

  • You are not a member of the requested department.
  • Your NexusCAD account cannot be located.
  • Incorrect information was submitted.
  • You requested permissions you are not authorized to receive.
  • Your department membership has not been finalized.
  • Additional information is required.

If your request is denied, follow any instructions provided by staff before submitting another request.

🔄 Department or Rank Changes

NexusCAD permissions may need to be updated when your position within Smokey State Roleplay changes.

Examples include:

  • Promotion
  • Demotion
  • Department transfer
  • Joining an additional department
  • Leaving a department
  • Receiving a new certification
  • Receiving a command position
  • Changing assignments

If your current NexusCAD permissions no longer match your SSRP position, submit a new permission request or contact the appropriate staff member.

🛠️ Troubleshooting

I created an account but cannot access my MDT.

Creating a NexusCAD account does not automatically assign department permissions.

Submit the permission request form:

I cannot submit the permission form.

The permission request form requires you to be signed into the Smokey State Roleplay website.

Use the Sign in with Discord option and then return to the permission request form.

My department does not appear in NexusCAD.

Your permissions may not have been processed yet.

Make sure you submitted the NexusCAD Permission Request and allow staff time to review it.

I was promoted but still have my old permissions.

Your NexusCAD permissions may need to be updated to reflect your new rank.

Submit an updated permission request if required.

I requested the wrong permissions.

Do not attempt to use permissions you are not authorized to have.

Contact the appropriate staff member or submit a corrected permission request.

⚠️ Important Rules

NexusCAD contains restricted roleplay, personnel, and department information.

Members must:

  • Never share their NexusCAD account.
  • Never attempt to bypass the permission system.
  • Never access records for metagaming purposes.
  • Never intentionally provide false information on a permission request.
  • Never request permissions for a department or rank they do not hold.
  • Immediately report accidental or unauthorized access.
  • Follow all applicable SSRP rules and department SOPs.

Abuse of NexusCAD permissions may result in permissions being restricted or removed.

When reporting an issue, provide:

  • Your SSRP name
  • Your department
  • Your rank
  • A description of the problem
  • Screenshots when applicable

Never include your password in a support request.
