Welcome to the official Smokey State Roleplay NexusCAD Documentation Center.
NexusCAD is SSRP's centralized public-safety operations platform. It combines Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), multi-agency Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs), station alerting, personnel management, training, reporting, civilian records, and administrative tools into one system.

π Getting Started
Creating Your Account
Members should create their NexusCAD account using the information required by Smokey State Roleplay.
When creating or configuring your account:
- Use your recognized SSRP information.
- Do not impersonate another member.
- Keep your password secure.
- Never share your account.
- Make sure you are assigned to the correct department.
- Make sure your callsign and personnel information are accurate.
If you believe you are missing access, contact your Department Command or the Internal Development Team.
π‘ Communications & Dispatch
The Dispatch module serves as the central location for emergency communications and incident management.
Dispatchers can use NexusCAD to:
- Create calls for service
- Manage active calls
- View available units
- Assign units to incidents
- Monitor unit statuses
- View the operational map
- Communicate with field units
- Monitor emergency/panic activations
- Manage multi-agency incidents
Authorized field personnel may also have access to self-dispatch functionality.
Unit Status
Members are responsible for maintaining an accurate unit status while on duty.
Your CAD status should accurately represent what your unit is currently doing so Communications and other responding units can coordinate resources.
π Law Enforcement MDT
Authorized Law Enforcement personnel have access to the Law MDT.
The MDT provides tools for:
- Person searches
- Vehicle searches
- Weapon searches
- Property searches
- BOLOs
- Warrants
- Arrest reports
- Incident reports
- Citations
- Penal code references
π Records
All reports should be completed professionally and contain information relevant to the roleplay incident.
Reports should not contain:
- Out-of-character arguments
- Unrelated information
- Knowingly false information
- Metagamed information
- Abusive or inappropriate content
π Fire & Rescue
Fire & Rescue personnel receive access to fire-service-specific operational tools.
Available functionality includes:
- Apparatus rosters
- Fire incident management
- Hydrant information
- Station management
- Incident Command System boards
- Fire reporting
- Station alerting
π₯ Incident Command
For larger incidents, authorized members can utilize NexusCAD's ICS functionality to organize command assignments and incident operations.
Incident Command should be established and operated in accordance with applicable SSRP Fire & Rescue procedures.
π EMS
EMS personnel have access to medical-response tools separate from general fire operations.
Features include:
- Patient tracking
- Hospital status
- Hospital diversion information
- Triage
- Patient care reports
- Medical incident documentation
Medical records should only contain information developed through legitimate roleplay.
π Station Alerting
NexusCAD includes Inferno station-alerting functionality designed for Fire & Rescue operations.
Authorized dispatchers can use the system to:
- Tone stations
- Alert assigned personnel
- Activate station alerts
- Trigger fire alarms
- Page responding crews
Unauthorized activation may result in removal of CAD privileges or administrative action.
π€ Civilian Portal
Civilian members can use NexusCAD to manage information associated with their characters.
Available features may include:
- Character creation
- Registered vehicles
- Weapon licenses
- Medical information
- 911 calls
- 311 calls
Character Information
Civilian records should accurately reflect the character being portrayed.
Information entered into the CAD may be discovered by authorized Law Enforcement or other agencies through normal roleplay procedures.
Members may not use CAD access to obtain information their character would not reasonably know.
βοΈ 911 & 311 Calls
Civilian members can submit calls directly through NexusCAD.
π¨ 911
Use 911 for emergency roleplay situations requiring an immediate public-safety response.
Examples include:
- Vehicle crashes
- Fires
- Medical emergencies
- Crimes in progress
- Dangerous situations
- Suspicious activity requiring immediate response

Use 311 for non-emergency incidents or service requests that do not require an immediate emergency response.
π DMV
Authorized personnel may have access to DMV functionality.
The DMV system can manage:
- Driver licenses
- License suspensions
- Vehicle registrations
- Vehicle transfers
- License plates
- Testing records
DMV records should remain consistent with established character information.

Authorized Judicial personnel can utilize NexusCAD's court-management functionality.
Features include:
- Court dockets
- Case files
- Motions
- Court filings
- Warrant approval
- Sentencing records
Access to Judicial records is controlled through NexusCAD permissions.
π Field Training
NexusCAD contains an integrated Field Training Officer (FTO) system.
The system supports:
- Trainee tracking
- Daily Observation Reports
- Evaluations
- Training phases
- Phase progression
- FTO assignments
FTOs should ensure evaluations accurately represent a trainee's performance.

NexusCAD also serves as a personnel-management platform for SSRP departments.
Depending on permissions, the system can manage:
- Members
- Ranks
- Callsigns
- Badge numbers
- Certifications
- Qualifications
- Leave of Absence
- Activity
- Department quotas
- Applications
- Organizational charts
- Personnel history
πͺͺ Callsigns & Badge Numbers
NexusCAD supports automatically generated callsigns and badge numbers based on department and rank configurations.
Members should not manually represent themselves using a callsign or badge number they have not been assigned.
Contact Department Command if your information is incorrect.
π Certifications
Departments can maintain certification and qualification records directly within NexusCAD.
Examples may include:
- Field Training Officer
- Supervisor
- Firefighter certifications
- EMS qualifications
- Specialized Law Enforcement training
- Communications certifications
- Apparatus qualifications
Certain certifications may expire or be revoked.
Members are responsible for ensuring they only perform duties for which they are authorized.
ποΈ Leave of Absence
Members may be able to submit Leave of Absence (LOA) requests through NexusCAD.
An LOA request may include:
- Start date
- End date
- Reason for leave
Department Command can approve, deny, cancel, or otherwise manage LOA requests according to departmental policy.
β±οΈ Activity Tracking
NexusCAD can track member activity while members are on duty.
This may include:
- Duty time
- Calls handled
- Arrests
- Citations
- Traffic stops
- Other department activity
π Disciplinary System
Authorized supervisors and administrators may have access to disciplinary-management functionality.
The system may contain:
- Citizen complaints
- Internal complaints
- Investigations
- Personnel files
- Administrative actions
- Sanctions
- Appeals
Certain personnel information may only be visible to authorized supervisors and administrators.

NexusCAD includes an internal document library.
Departments may publish:
- Standard Operating Procedures
- Department handbooks
- Training materials
- Policies
- Reference documents
- Forms
Members are responsible for reviewing documents applicable to their department and position.
Published department policies remain applicable unless superseded by a newer policy or Community Administration directive.

Authorized users can access NexusCAD's operational map.
Depending on configuration and integration status, the map can display:
- Active incidents
- Incident locations
- Unit locations
- Operational markers
Information displayed on the map is for authorized roleplay and operational purposes.

NexusCAD uses a detailed permission system.
Access may generally be determined by:

Having access to NexusCAD does not automatically authorize access to every module.
π Discord & FiveM Integration
NexusCAD supports external integrations including:
- Discord role synchronization
- Discord webhooks
- FiveM connectivity
- In-game integrations
- REST API connectivity
- Community-developed tools
These integrations allow SSRP to connect CAD operations with other community systems.
Members should report synchronization or integration problems to the Internal Development Team.
π CAD Rules
All Smokey State Roleplay members using NexusCAD are expected to follow these requirements.
1. No Metagaming
Information discovered through CAD may only be used when your character or assigned role would legitimately have access to it.
2. No Record Tampering
Do not intentionally create false reports, warrants, BOLOs, citations, arrests, personnel records, or other CAD information.
3. No Unauthorized Access
Do not attempt to access modules or records outside your assigned permissions.
4. No Account Sharing
Your NexusCAD account belongs to you.
Never share your account credentials with another member.
5. Maintain Professional Records
Reports and records should remain appropriate and relevant to the roleplay environment.
6. Maintain Accurate Statuses
On-duty personnel should keep unit and apparatus statuses reasonably accurate.
7. Protect Sensitive Information
Information from restricted administrative or personnel sections should not be distributed without authorization.
8. Do Not Abuse Emergency Functions
Panic buttons, station alerts, emergency alerts, BOLOs, warrants, and dispatch functions should only be used for legitimate purposes.
9. Follow Department SOPs
NexusCAD does not replace department procedures.
Members must continue following all applicable department SOPs and community policies.
10. Report Problems
Bugs, permission problems, missing information, and integration issues should be reported through the appropriate SSRP support or development process.
π οΈ Troubleshooting
I cannot access my department.
Verify that your account has been assigned to the proper department and rank.
If the problem continues, contact Department Command or IDT.
My callsign or badge number is incorrect.
Contact Department Command.
Callsigns and badge information may be controlled by the personnel/roster configuration.
I cannot see a module another member can see.
This may be intentional.
NexusCAD permissions can vary based on:
- Department
- Rank
- Assignment
- Certifications
- Administrative permissions
My CAD is not updating.
Try refreshing or reconnecting to NexusCAD.
If the problem continues, document what happened and report the issue to IDT.
My Discord roles and CAD permissions do not match.
Report the synchronization problem to IDT.
Do not attempt to circumvent the permission system.
I found a bug.
When reporting a bug, provide as much information as possible:
- What you were doing
- What module you were using
- What you expected to happen
- What actually happened
- Screenshots, if applicable
- Any error message displayed
- Whether the problem can be reproduced

When requesting technical support, include enough information for staff to reproduce the problem.
